Nean Project is a planning tool for small software and product teams working on complex, multi-level projects. Instead of flat task lists, you build a structured plan as a task tree with unlimited nesting, so you can break work down from areas and features into flows, tasks, and subtasks without losing the big picture.

Nean Project also includes Smart Views: filter and search inside a project to focus on what matters right now (in progress, blocked, due soon, etc.). Unlike disconnected result lists, filtered tasks stay linked to their place in the hierarchy, parent path included, so context is always visible. Views switch instantly and update live as tasks change.

When decisions happen, you can capture the “why” directly on the relevant task/node with comments and notes, so context doesn’t disappear into chat scrollback. Over time, the plan becomes a lightweight knowledge base as you work.
